Creating an elegant and stylish look on a budget

Keep it simple, keep colours neutral and pattern to a minimum. A stripe is ok, large flower print is not. We want soft elegance that creates a romantic feel.

Charcoal grey is softer than black and looks less harsh on most skin tones it also works with other muted shades.

Layer with ponchos, scarves or tunics and add subtle gold and silver mixed jewellery.

Choose soft cashmere or cashmere mix, linen, cotton, and soft leather as these add texture. You do not need to spend a fortune on this look. A lighter cashmere is inexpensive. Buy wisely and match these styles with your favourite jeans.

Remember white can still be worn in winter, I opt for winter white as it's subtle.
